They all work really hard to make it a great experience for us. The whole team of diving planet is very kind and helpful. In total we did 4 dives in the ocean and we saw 4 different diving spots. When we were comfortable with all the tasks we went to the ocean again. When some exercises did not go well, we were given the time to keep trying. The next morning we got picked up by boat, they were always on time. ![]() After this dive we enjoyed lunch and Rawr brought us back to our hotel on Isla Grande. On our first day we had a second dive in the ocean to repeat some exercises. We felt really safe with diving planet because on our dive there were two divemasters from diving planet with us. ![]() We enjoyed our dive and saw many fish and beautiful corals. Rawr made sure we were confident under water and then we went into the ocean. After getting our materials we quickly went through the theory again, and we started of practicing in the pool. We were only with the two of us so our instructor had all the time for us. After some contact we decided to do the open water course (padi). It was really easy to get in contact with diving planet (whatsapp) and they responded quick. This was our first time diving and Rawr was a fantastic instructor for us. Overall, we were extremely impressed with the service of Diving Planet - no complaints at all! If I could go back in time, I would've just done all our 6 dives at Rosario Islands with Diving Planet and possibly even stayed on the island to do a night dive.We had a great experience diving with diving planet. They upload them to an online album and send you the link by email afterward, so you might want to see who else is interested in your group and split the cost and share the link. If you're interested in having photos taken, just request it at the beginning of the day. Our guide was attentive and took some great photos of us. Drinks, a snack and a delicious lunch (tuna or chicken sandwich and french fries) were included. showers and towels if we wanted) and even free wi-fi. We had 'island time' before and after each dive, where we had access to bathroom facilities at the resort (inc. At 260,000 pesos for 2 dives, it's a little more pricey than Cartagena Divers, but in my opinion it was definitely worth it!! All the equipment was great, and the boat trip was very comfortable. Hotel pick-up was included and was easily arranged. The highlight was seeing four huge lion fish (see pics)! Andreas, the manager, was extremely helpful and his English is fantastic so it was easy to communicate and arrange our trip. The Rosario Islands were by far the best dive location of the three - heaps more fish and great colourful coral - The kind of reefs where you find yourself surrounded by the marine life rather than searching for it. My partner and I are keen divers so we did six dives in total in Colombia - 2 at Baru, 2 at Taganga and 2 with Diving Planet at the Rosario Islands. Thanks for the certification and the experience! I saw tons of tropical fish (many lion fish, needle fish and even a big green Morriah eel!), the water was clear and warm. When I took the boat back to Cartagena the next day, someone from the dive shop was there awaiting me to take me back! Great company to use, and the diving was incredible. My instructor even made sure my breakfast would be ready early the second day before our morning dive. I literally never had to worry about anything as everyone guided me through my stay. ![]() They set up my accommadations for the night at the Ecological 'hotel' (it was about $47 US for the night, including dinner the first day, breakfast the next and lunch- bare necessities type of a place, but beautiful, quiet area and everything was very well kept!). I had one-on-one theoretical training, then for my dives, I was picked up at my hostel, taken to the boat, the boat took me to the Rosario Islands (and I had an instructor from the shop with me the whole time) All my instructors spoke English very well and all my instruction was one-on-one, with the same instructor for all 4 of my dives. Everything was so well put together and made my experience incredibly easy, safe and fun! I could have waited and gotten my certification for much cheaper in Tagana, or maybe another dive company, but the price was worth it (and I'm a young, budget traveler saying that). ![]()
